The Earth is one of several planets that orbit the Sun as part of the Solar System. The Sun sits on a spiral arm of the Milky Way Galaxy, which comprises hundreds of billions of other stars. The Milky Way Galaxy is the second biggest of 54 galaxies in a cluster called the Local Group. In the universe which we can observe there are hundreds of billions of galaxies.
